“Women Empowerment” – It a popular phrase and at times powerful propaganda. And having said that, the real struggles and stories of empowerment get lost in the clutter. 

Vedanta Foundation progressively strides to make “her” passion count. 

Pursuing a career in teaching is acknowledged the most by the women from semi-rural areas, 2 tier and 3 tier cities in India.Identifying this inclination, Vedanta Foundation initiated this program to inspire more women to pursue a career.The “Teachers Training Program” is a one-year diploma course in early childhood care and education. The course is I.G.N.O.U certified. With Birla Group as the training partner, Vedanta Foundation runs this course providing a 60 % scholarship to each student.  The first batch was launched successfully with 500 + students in Reengus, Rajasthan.

Vedanta Foundation runs Skill development centers affiliated with Rajasthan Skill & Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC). 8 centers statewide have benefited thousands of females from the underprivileged areas. It is also counted as one of the premium initiatives of the Rajasthan State Government.
