Teachers training program is a one year diploma course in early childhood care and Education. The course is I.G.N.O.U certified. With Birla Group as the training partner, Vedanta Foundation runs this course providing 60 % scholarship to each student. First batch was launched successfully with 500 + students in Reengus, Rajasthan.
Vedanta Foundation runs Skill development centres in affiliation with Rajasthan Skill & Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC). 8 centres state wide have benefited thousands of females from the underprivileged areas. It is counted as one of the premium initiatives of Rajasthan State Government.
Choosing oneself first is a privilege and taking initiative provides you one. Self-help groups are the assimilation of determined women, who chose liberty over the struggles. They took initiative to train themselves and Vedanta Foundation encouraged their will power.
“Self Help groups” are the skill developing units, which trains women in the demesne of garment making and beautification. The two skills have been opted considering the background and daily routine of the women from these communities. Not only they train over the advance machinery but also learn about the fabrics and the basics of operating a small business. With the acquired skills and knowledge, these women become efficient in supporting the expenditure of their family. 1000 women today, across our centres have managed to raise a sum of Rs. 2.75crores
